Picked a florist
Went by The Flower Garden in Columbus, Texas and talked with Lyndsay Schobel about the fresh flowers we needed for the wedding. Yay!!! We've booked a florist today and I am very happy that I can mark one more thing off my list.

i heart milk glass vases
I have my own collection of these wonderful old vases and am going to mix these in randomly with my centerpieces.I am going for a shabby chic, vintage, rustic vibe for our wedding this August. I like items that have been around a while and have been loved. Perfect sentiment in my mind for a wedding. Especially ours.
By the way, I am going to place fresh flowers in these vases to add to the ambiance.

Bridesmaid bouquets
I have eight bridesmaids and I just completed their bouquets. I am going to add ribbons closer to the big day. Their bouquets are dark pink hydrangea and my bouquet is teal hydrangea. My groom is going to wear a white boutonierre and the groomsmen will wear dark pink roses that match the girls' bouquets. I am going to add white roses to my bouquet to match my groom. The girls are wearing floor length dresses from David's Bridal in oasis. The guys are wearing black Calvin Klein tuxedos from Mens Wearhouse with oasis ties and vests. My groom and his best man are wearing bow ties and matching vests with their tuxedos.

twenty of my favorite things on etsy
Pictured above are twenty of my most recently favorited items on etsy.
I have purchased a cake topper for the groom's cake, the cake knife, paper flowers for favors, and beads for wedding jewelry from etsy. And I'm not done. I heart etsy. I shop for vintage and handmade items on the site as well as supplies for my own d.i.y. (do-it-yourself) projects.

Centerpieces
Just found out from my wedding planner that we have twenty-three tables inside our venue that will need centerpieces. I am creating dual function centerpieces using BlueBell ice cream containers and flower pens that I create. In another life, it seems, I was Gyniphr of Gyniphr-n-Stefuni.

paper roses
Martha Stewart's line of wedding craft projects at Wal-Mart made a seriously excellent impression on this crafty wedding chick.Whether a person purchases multiple sets or just one and then DIYs the rest from assorted materials, the tissue paper flowers will add the right touch of whimsy and charm to your special event.
In addition to making fantastic centerpieces, the tissue paper flowers could be gifted to your guests as favors or reminders of your special day.
Gather your supplies and call up your bridesmaids for a whirlwind evening of flower making sprinkled with memories of elementary school art class!
