great summer wedding favor idea

source: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2010/06/14/diy-ice-cream-in-a-jar-by-city-cradle-design/

I was looking through my drafts late last night and discovered this adorable favor just sitting there.  I found this fab idea two and a half months before my wedding.  My darling husband and I will celebrate two years in less than a month.  *grin*

Custom napkins for Travis and Rachael Edmondson's wedding on May 5th2012

I was overjoyed to be asked to be a part of someone's wedding. And for something that I made to be a part of a couple's wedding day... I am speechless.

30 days

today, i bought fabric to make 8 table cloths for $53 and change.  just need to hem all 4 edges on all 8 pieces of fabric.  tomorrow, i need to get the fabric for at least 5 more table cloths though it would be nice to have extra tablecloths now rather than freak out that weekend when there is no more time.  fabric was only $4.17 a yard and was 90 inches wide.

With 40 days to go

I am hyper-focusing on food intake and exercise. My dress fits without alterations. So that isn't an issue. It might be about control or rather the lack of control.

Breakfast:
* Standard process standard bar dietary supplement high protein cocoa crisp
* bottled water with cayenne pepper and ReaLemon juice
* one roll of Smarties (my one sugar for the day)
* emerald brand natural almonds, 100 calorie pack

Apologies in advance to those that have no desire to read the food/exercise posts. This is my blog and I feel the need to post to help me stay on the straight and narrow.

manic monday

This past weekend, I worked in the flower bed and went to Zumba. I also did quite a bit of sewing. When I woke up this morning, I wanted only another couple of days added onto the weekend so that I could spend it working on wedding stuff. And reunion stuffs.

You see I am in charge of my family reunion this year and it is coming up quick. I need to get a printing order in and decide on the lunch menu like yesterday. 8O Yep, going a lil bit crazy but it is all good. I promise. :)

our cake inspiration

i found the image on ProjectWedding.com and immediately "knew" that this was what I wanted at our wedding. I am using my parents' cake topper from their 1970 wedding cake. One of the cakes will feature a pink and orange LOVE cake topper that I found on ebay, which is dated 1973. Since my sweet fiance is a hunter, I looked on etsy for an Elmer Fudd cake topper and I found one that I scored for less than $10 including shipping. I am not quite sure what sort of toppers the other cakes will have but variety is definitely the spice of life with regard to cake.

we were showered with love

This past Saturday we were showered with love and presents from friends and family at our wedding shower. We were served a most delicious meal including lasagna and frozen margaritas. Not to mention that beautiful cake (pictured)... It was chocolate on the inside. Yum.

happy father's day

I am consolidating my etsy shops into one. I previously sold flower pens under the name "gyniphr-n-stefuni" and last year, I began a shop called "new uses for old clothes". Recently (within the past six months), I started thinking seriously about combining everything into one online shop with the goal of someday having a brick and mortar shop to call my very own. And so the bringing together of all of my crafty endeavors into one etsy shop is one of the many steps necessary to make my dream a reality.

Today I am adding items to the etsy shop as well as writing a few thank you notes since last night was our wedding shower. The wedding is in sixty-nine days!

rustic vintage wedding chair idea

How cool would it be to have all of your wedding guests sitting in a mix match of antique chairs?  Oh how I wish that we could afford to do it.  The photos would be awesome!  We would probably  need to have pillows or blankets available to keep rust from adhering itself to everyone's clothes.  Either that or shellac-ing each and every chair!  Which would completely change the vibe.

cake

Found the above video at http://ecoconsciousweddings.com/2010/05/02/the-joys-of-buying-a-cake/ via GreenPress.com's facebook page.

Disclaimer: I am posting this without having listened to the video. My computer doesn't have speakers attached. The visual and the promise of funny inspired me to post it here.

stamps

OMG!!!

My sweet and sexy and ohmygoodness amazing fiance called me during lunch and gave me the go ahead to go to the post office and buy stamps!!!

You have no idea unless you are in the same planning stage or recently married just how much a couple spends on stamps.  It is a necessary expense.  I just hope all of the stamps that I stick onto the RSVP cards get used.  I have heard many horror stories on the Wedding911 app of the lack of response cards received and just how many phone calls that were made to get a response.  *fingers crossed*

Now to decide which of the above two that I like more...

to have and to hold beverages

Found a personalized galvanized beverage tub and stand at Walmart.com and am considering getting several for the reception to hold the multitude of water bottles that I plan to have on hand for guests during my late August wedding.

pink and sparkly

These fuchsia Nina brand shoes are seriously the best looking fancy shoes that I have seen in quite awhile and oh how I wish that I needed this much height on my wedding day.  Almost wish the wedding ceremony was indoors too...  Alas though the shoes look amazing and are the PERFECT color, I won't be purchasing these shoes due to their height.  Sadly, my dear sweet and sexy fiance isn't *that* much taller than me necessitating these heels.

delayed gratification

It seems that I must wait 8 weeks for a custom Lila Frances "Original Silver Lingerie Wedding Dress Hanger" but I will happily bide my time until I receive this precious memento.

Thank goodness that I remembered to order with enough time to spare.

You can order your very own custom dress hanger via her etsy website or this link: http://www.etsy.com/listing/26651786/the-original-silver-lingerie-wedding-dre

Best wishes,
