Explanation plus

This is not turning into a food journal diary only. I'm actually writing about my day while tracking my food intake. I try to bring some humor and visual glimpses into my life - not just about food and exercise.

I probably need to think more before I title the post. I will try harder.

I am working on my thirty bag donation currently. I have the insides complete and am steadily finishing the corresponding exteriors. I have twenty-five more outsides done, attach the two halves to each other, and then shipped. I will definitely be photographing all items prior to shipment.

I am a member of The Hen House Coop and write there as well. The Hen House Coop consists of a fabulous group of women who are all creative business types. I chat with these women on a near daily basis. Even though we are spread throughout the USA, I know that I can call on them and they will be there for me. I recommend these women as people and their businesses.

Ok, my eyes are drooping... I look forward to tomorrow and the promise of a new day.

Sweet dream y'all.

His favorite boots

My darling husband allowed me to snap a picture of him in his favorite everyday shoes - his work boots.

He has three pair of shoes in his regular shoe wardrobe: these boots, Nike sneakers, and his camouflage Crocs. Yes, he owns other shoes {boots} but those are for special occasions.

I, on the other hand, have many, many, many, more pairs of shoes. *grin*

Each Friday I am going to write about a favorite something.

Have You Stocked Up On Bullets?

Have You Stocked Up On Bullets?
You might be shocked to see which US government agencies are stocking up on bullets. I know I was. These agencies don't appear to be ones that have a need for weapons much less bullets.
Read the story, decide on your own, and come back here to discuss -- like civilized members of society not lil hellions.

Words from the heart

Lord, I am here because I either listened to ya or didn't. Please put me where ya want me. I yield my life to you.

Don't get so busy making a living that ya forget to live.

I fear that I might have over-committed myself and am assisting someone else fulfill their dream and am crushing my own dreams {or at least further delaying them}, which makes me feel horrible either way.

Music makes running easier

I was surfing Pinterest and {of course} had to click on the link to discover just what these one hundred running songs could possibly be... *grin*

Frustration Friday

I know I've said (typed) it before and I will say (type) it again... I have been online in some form or fashion since I purchased my first computer back in 1997.  My first blog was on OpenDiary.  I've tried TypePad, WordPress (both the .org and the .com), Tumblr, SquareSpace, and LiveJournal to name a few but I always come back to Blogger.

Each time I have created a blog, I have attempted a different approach.  Design buttons, header, et·cet·er·a before plunging in with a post.  Many blogs died before the second post.  From my experience, just jumping in with posting regularly works much better.

Thankful for an empty house

After my Monday morning run, I took my usual "clean the sweat off" shower. I opened the window and while searching for my Pandora station, I really looked out the window. An overwhelming sense of thankfulness filled my soul. The house in the following picture is vacant. Thank goodness. The vacant house's back door faces our bathroom window - a direct path/line. Also very thankful for the black window screen that my husband installed.

Saturday night fever

My bestie texted earlier this evening asking if we were going to a local festival and I had to say "no" because 1. My husband was working on his deer stand. 2. My husband doesn't typically want to attend such events. But I told her that she should attend with her significant other for the both of us.

Not long after that conversation ended, my husband called and asked if I could bring him some sweet tea, an ice cream treat, and some tools because it was hot, he was thirsty, and he needed something that he didn't have with him. On my way to fulfill his wish, I got stuck waiting for a very long train to pass.

Now? I'm hanging out with him while he fixes his trailer that will carry the deer stand and feeder to their destination.

quandary

Have you ever priced an item for re-sale and found out that it is worth at least twice what ya have it marked?

I did this evening.

So, what to do?

I decided to let the person who showed interest before the revelation know my plans to remove the listing and re-post on another site for the new price -- but that I would allow the person first dibs at the original price.  Seemed like the best and most honest way to proceed.  But that I would allow the person first dibs at the original price.

Now to wait an acceptable length of time to discover if they will follow through on their interest or they will pass.
