sunday funday

Yesterday {the 18th} was spent doing a local craft show.  I am thankful that I was able to utilize four tables {filled to bursting} without needing to pull mine from the car.  I am thankful that I had the opportunity to share my creations {and those of my friends} with others.

Yes, I was exhausted Sunday from working Thursday through Saturday and not sleeping well or for very long Saturday/Sunday but I enjoyed the experience.  Sharing what I love with others.

Thank you to all who came out to the event and looked at my offerings.

And so on the eighteenth day, I am thankful for the day and the opportunities that existed.

a meeting of the hens

I start looking forward to my Thursday evening meetings with "my hens" on Friday morning - mere hours after we end our talks. I am blessed with these amazing women in my life - strong creatives who I discovered via iPhone apps {TheKnot911 and Instagram}.

thinking

Hmm...

*jumping in*

I like that this space has a little bit of everything.  I want to keep it that way.  But I'm thinking that this space will be more "behind the scenes" of lil girl shop and that the main business, etc. blog will be on my new site [indiemade].  I can't post on the fly at my new site.  And that's ok.  It isn't a deal breaker.

I have merged my personal and business Instagram accounts once again.  I am not going to delete the business account that I created, rather I changed the name on my original account to my business name and made it public.  Lindsey of Out of Alabaster made a fantastic point that "a big part of handmade business is buying into the seller".  And the point that she made was the same reason that I had begun second guessing the split I made back in April.  I had begun to become uncomfortable posting on either IG account.  Thinking about which account I was signed into and if what I wanted to post was appropriate for that particular account.  I want to be me all of the time.

I updated my profile picture on my business fb page today.  It is the same as my personal fb profile picture except my biz picture has my little sewing machine logo in the lower right hand corner.

I also updated my etsy shop's banner this afternoon.  I included my new profile picture as well as the sewing machine logo in color as well as in black and white plus several product images.

Sunny Sunday

Our family enjoyed a lazy day around the house. The weather was gorgeous. My daughter and I took advantage of the sunshine and light breeze to catch some rays.

Tomorrow I will be back in front of the sewing machine to begin a solid week creating more inventory for the shop.

What did *you* do this weekend?

Sewing Sunday

My sweet mama gifted me with a whole bunch of four inch square cuts of fabric in reds, yellows, and purples earlier this month.

Earlier today I began to sew the squares together. This evening, I have a twin size quilt top nearly complete.

My best friend's second son is celebrating his seventh birthday today. Happy birthday Colton Wayne!!!

What did you do this weekend? Celebrate something?
