TGIF = Thank Goodness It's Friday
Not sure if I have mentioned it here lately (or ever) but I am a member of the Eco-Etsy team on Etsy. My favorite materials had another life before I use them to make into something new.
Anyway... I mention that to get around to this... Our team is donating items to a giveaway on the Martha Stewart Show. I am making ten lunch bags, ten utensil holders, and fifteen napkins (napkins in progress shown). Very exciting. Also I am going to start promoting my team members (plus other crafty friends) and their products in my posts here.
Check out this Pale Ale soap {http://www.etsy.com/listing/69741649/pale-ale-cedarwood-beer-soap-5-oz-as} handmade by Eco-Etsy team member Erin Krug of krugsecologic.
I save all of my scraps {those that are too small to use for anything else} in an empty Blue Bell container and then use them as filler for dog beds. My sweet Bebe loves her bed. And the bed washes/dries in the machine.
I enjoy making fabric flowers. This yellow Vera fabric flower is attached to an everyday bag that I made for a friend. The flower is made from a vintage Vera napkin and the center is a vintage rhinestone button from my husband's maternal grandmother's collection.
So... On this perfect day to stay inside kind of day, what are *you* doing???
It is overcast today with a very good chance of rain showers bringing six plus inches to Central Texas.
